Dubomedy Arts is a collective of artists building a strong Comedy and Urban Arts' Community here in Dubai. Dubomedy Arts is co-directed by Broadway veteran and award-winning Comedienne, Arts Educator and Entertainer; Mina Liccione and Stand Up Comic and producer; Ali Al Sayed. Our goal is to create more performance opportunities for local artists, provide professional performing arts training and put on original productions around the region. We are the home of the Dubomedy Arts School (first and only Comedy and Urban Arts School in the MENA Region), Dubomedy Sole Steppers (Award winning Tap and Body Beats Group), Local Comedy Troupe, launched the first weekly comedy and variety show: "Monday Night Funnies", made HER-story with FUNNY GIRLS - the first ALL FEMALE Stand Up Comedy Show in the Middle East and have acted as entertainment for many major events around the region! In 2010 we launched our First Annual Dubomedy International Performing Arts Festival which offered the stage to hundreds of local artists alongside some very special international guests. In April, 2011 we did a successful local UAE Comedy Tour.
EDUCATE.....
The Dubomedy Arts School was founded on April 1, 2008 by Mina Liccione (BFA in Dance with minor in Theater Arts Marymount Manhattan College, MFA in Interdisciplinary Arts Education and Experimental Composition from New College of California). It is the first and only Comedy and Urban Arts School in the MENA region. We offer on-going professional training- rated "Best Classes in Dubai by Timeout Dubai Magazine- in Comedy: Stand Up and Sketch, Improvisation, Writing & Performance, Physical Theater, Musical Theater and Song writing, Character development and acting, Arabic Comedy, Voice and Speech, Commedia Dell' Arte, Basic Circus Skills, NYC Tap Dance and Body Beat, Learn to Speak Emirati classes all year round for kids, teens and adults. We hold over 6 after school programs at numerous programs around the UAE. We also offer seasonal intensives including Independent Film Workshop: acting for film, directing and production, Arabic Courses, Improv. Jam Retreat, Free Teacher Training Days, LOL! Kids Circus and Magic Camp. Our classes cater to the "just for fun" through professional coaching.

The "Clowns Who Care" Volunteer Project: Our sole purpose is to bring joy, love, light and support to children, senior citizens, charity organizations and hospitals. Our team of trained volunteer artists perform, play games, sing songs, tell jokes, dance and interact with patients/residents from their heart. They say that laughter is the best medicine- we agree!
